Help Author the Handbook on Technology in Clinical Practice

Experts on technology in psychiatry under leadership of Drs. Victor Buwalda, MD, PhD, IDFAPA, and William Narrow, MD, MPH, were contracted by Oxford University Press to edit a book on this topic for practicing psychiatrists and other mental health professionals. It is a requirement for today’s professionals to have more than a basic knowledge of digital health technology in order to provide optimal treatment for their patients. Thus, the aim of this volume is to produce a handbook that provides clinicians with information in an easy-to-understand format that has relevance to their day-to-day work with patients, as well as giving a glimpse of exciting future developments.

The aim is to compile teams consisting of energetic and enthusiastic learners with interests in mental health and digital technology, paired with senior experts in the field. Each team will write a chapter on a topic of interest.

With the help of the PsychSIGN network, and its president elect, Sebastian Acevedo, we would like to invite those learners interested in doing some interesting research and writing on a specific digital topic to contact us. This will be a selective process. There is a link to the application form below.

Many thanks on behalf of the editors of the Handbook on Technology in Clinical Psychiatry,
