About the panelists: Amanda Williams, MD is a solo practitioner general psychiatrist in Atlanta, GA who specializes in integrating psychopharmacology and cognitive behavioral psychotherapy for a broad range of patients. Carl Fleisher, MD isa child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist and Co-Director and Medical Director of Boston Child Study Center-LA in Los Angeles, CA who specializes in the Good Psychiatric Management/Gunderson Model for individuals struggling with borderline personality disorder and emotion dysregulation. Erin Seery, MD is a psychiatrist and assistant professor at the Medical University of South Carolina, who completed a four-year intensive psychoanalytic training program at the Austen Riggs Center and specializes in psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. Heather John, MD, PhD, is a solo practitioner general psychiatrist outside Philadelphia, PA who specializes in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and is a psychoanalytic candidate with a therapeutic approach also influenced by training in cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and reproductive psychiatry.
Round table panelists will first describe their post-residency psychotherapy training experiences and then continue the conversation in breakout rooms for Q/A and interaction.
