Service & Wellness
Service
Students interested in psychiatry should be informed about public resources available to patients with mental illness, the quality of care provided to psychiatric patients within the community and the range of services offered in an increasingly diverse mental health care system. Read more about these issues and about volunteer opportunities to impact community mental health.

Wellness
Medical school is a time of intense learning and exciting new opportunities. Students are often faced with emotionally challenging situations, both in our work environment as well as in our personal lives as young adults. Research shows that medical students are at increased risk for depression, but that they tend not to seek care. PsychSIGN is dedicated to decreasing stigma surrounding student mental health and promoting access to care.
