Options In Psychiatry
Medical Student Conference at Columbia's New York Psychiatric Institute
Saturday, March 7, 2009: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
One of the most exciting aspects of the evolution of psychiatry is the increase in options for specialized research and clinical care. Many psychiatry residents are choosing to pursue advanced fellowships after residency. In an effort to educate future psychiatry residents about these options, PsychSIGN will be hosting a one-day conference for medical students.
Experts in the
fields of child/adolescent, addiction, public psychiatry,
HIV psychiatry and psychiatric research will discuss
their fields and take questions.
There will also be residents in breakout sessions
discussing psychiatry residency in
general. The conference will be held at the New
York State Psychiatric Institute at 9:00 am.
