Be Captivated!

on Fri, 05/11/2012 - 00:02

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is the most under-served of all medical specialties. With 10% of America's youth suffering a severe psychiatric disorder, the need for qualified physicians, in addition to psychologists, social workers, special education teachers, and nurses who work with kids, is greater than ever before. This 10 minute film is produced by the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Campaign for America's Kids documents a "day in the life" of four young and engaging child and adolescent psychiatrists.

on Sun, 05/06/2012 - 16:55

What a great event! We had nearly 100 medical students plus more than 10 resident physicians and almost 20 attending physician guest speakers speak with us. And we elected a fabulous new board of medical students to head PsychSIGN, above. We'll have a full write-up coming soon, but for now, check out our PsychSIGN conference photo gallery (under Galleries) and Twitter feed (read our post — it's a 1 MB image!). Special thanks to the American Psychiatric Association and APA District III branch for all their support!

See you in San Francisco for the next round of events!
